A few things have been tumbling around in my mind, that I hope to write about soon, but until then I felt an urgent need to communicate what has been going on.
New J.O.B- I am currently working at a school part time doing maitnence work. It's extremely fun! I'm sure there will be stories that will be brought to light based on the hilarity that ensues.
New J.O.B [part 2] - I will also be coaching basketball once the season starts. This is the most rewarding news lately for me. I love coaching and being apart of the culture basketball brings.
Church status - Last night we attended a "connections dinner" at the pastors, excuse me ministers house, where I was pleasently delighted by the outstanding people we met and the amount of people who were "that guy". Example, the guy who called himself 'pokey' and drove a white Hummer on 24's...yes he's that guy!
Weather - currently we are having the hottest summer since '07 which is another way of saying this is the 63rd day in a row of 90 plus degree weather, topping out at 103 last Thursday [heat index 117]. Which means I have taken a few weeks off from hiking, which also means I'm a little behind on the AT training. But I'm strong in mind and heart and will make it up!
Overall - doing well! leah and I have been talking about holiday plans, and can't believe it will bee here sooner rather than later. We look forward to seeing friends and sharing stories.
Looks like we might dip below 90 next week...Here's to crossing my fingers.
