Using my gift

Visited a church a few weeks ago where Scott, serving on the hospitality team, politely introduced himself and as we proceded to to exchange pleasentries the age old question of 'what do you do for a living?' was asked...now there are two roads I can travel at this point 1. 'I go to school' or 2. 'I work at a cigar shop'. Since I was at a church and more importantly I'm at a church in the south, I decided to go with option number 2. After a few minutes of silence, more awkwardness than anything, his response was 'well everyone has their gifts!' Immediatly the awkwardness was transfered to me...I had no idea how to responded to such a statement! How do you respond to something like that?

Leaving a little confused, and needless to say never going back, I decided everyone needs to be good at something...and that something for me is SMOKING! In the long list of 'gifts of the spirit' I would imagine that smoking was never one of those gifts people always pray for, but nonetheless the spiritual gift of smoking is reserved for those closest to God! [0r atleast I like to think]

So, one of the greatest tragedies in all of christianity is never fulfilling your gift to edify one another. Over the course of this blog, I hope to utilize and grow my gift of smoking and somewhere ramble on about the various types of cigars, what they pair with best, and most importantly SMOKE a bunch of cigars!

If you are a cigar smoker or just enjoy the occasional read about what is going on in my corner of the sandbox I would encourage you to tune ever so often and revel in the goodness/gifting of smoking.
